Applet Description/Questions
This is an applet to help people discover transformations by changing coeffients within the Sine Function. As you walk through it, answer these questions: 1. What does changes in A do to the function? 2. What does changes in B do to the funciton? 3. How does this compare to the reference function? What numbers will be the same as the reference function?
This is an applet to help others understand how the unit circle relates to the Sine and Cosine Functions. As you explore toggle on and off each curve. Use the play button to animate the applet.
Use these questions to guide your thought process and exploration: 1. What base is the original number in? 2. Why do we use different bases? 3. How can these bases effect what I know in mathematics?

Number Systems with Different Bases This applet allows people to understand number systems with different bases. It allows for people to discover relationships between different bases.
Base 10 Blocks This applet demonstrates how to count with base 10.
Unit Converter This is anohter applet that allows people to understand the differences between the bases.
Abacus This is applet will help people understand more of the history of number systems.
Abacus 2 This is another applet that will has multiple types of abacus' on it
Roman Numerals to Arabic Numbers This is an applet to show how to convert to Roman Numerals to Arabic Numbers, and back. Roman Numerals has a large part in where our current number system comes from today.

How to Count in Japanese This video is a great example of how people outside of the US have simularities and differences in their number systems. It can also be useful to look at the website explaining more about the Japanese number system's and how they use it.
How Are Numbers Taugth in Asia Compared to Western Countries? This is a webpage that explains many things about the differences in the Asian culture of how mathematics is taught.
A Breif History of Numerical Systems This is an explination of what number systems are, and where they came from.
Byju's Number System Explination This is an explination of how number systems work. It also jumps in on how different system's with different bases work.
Number Formatting System in Europe vs. the US This is a resourse to talk about how we format numbers differently than others, specifically Europe.
